The meeting attracted hundreds of athletes from most schols and colleges
from throughout Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin Authorities. There was a
minutes silence impeccably marked for Brian Cunningham of Nescliffe who died
last week. Brian was a long established athletics coach with Shrewsbury
Athletic Club who had done so much for Shropshire athletes for many years
especially combined events athletes when for many years he organised the
county championships.
