This race has just been ranked as the Number 1 fastest 10k in the UK     Link to Fastest 10k Races
Course measurement. Course has just been remeasured (April 19th 2018) by an official UKA measurer and there is no change from previous years.

Wave 1. 10.30am. All Elite Men (29 min to under 31 min) and earlier online entries of Sub 40 minute Men (31 to 40 min) - 300 entry limit
Wave 2. 11.10am. All Elite Ladies below and later online entries of Sub 40 minute Men (31 to 40 min) & all Ladies under 40 min - 300 entry limit
Wave 3. 11.45am. Masses over 40 minutes (Men & Ladies) -
1000 entry limit
When online entries for Wave 1 are full, all further sub 40min online entries will be in Wave 2

Elite athletes with qualifying times below, please contact us for automatic entry to Wave 1 for Men, Wave 2 for Ladies.
Elite Athletes entry - Have you run sub 31 min for Men (or sub 14.40 for 5km), or sub 36 min for Ladies (or sub 17 for 5km), shown recorded on Power of 10 website within the last 2 years. 
Then please send name, age on raceday & Club to Dave at  telford10k@yahoo.co.uk for automatic entry.
Prizes to the first 5 Men & first 5 Ladies in the Elite race only, based on Gun time. First place £150 cash, Second £100Third £50Fourth £30Fifth £20, for both Male & Female. 
Masters Prizes are, First man in each category M40, M45, M50, M55, M60, M65, M70. First Lady L40, L45, L50, L55, L60. 

Race HQ remains at the Telford International Centre, with FREE car parking right next to the start, lots of toilets and large indoor space to keep warm.
This is within a short walking distance of the Town Park, Ice Rink, Hotels, Premier Inn, New Travelodge, and Southwater cafes and restaurants. 

General Information on Race entry.
It is the responsibility of the runner to be fit to compete on the day of the race. If you have any medical issues which you think may put you at risk when running a 10k race, see your GP prior to commencing on a training programme. Runners who should seek medical advice from their doctor include those with an existing medical problems or symptoms/signs. 
If you have flu or any other illness before the race it can take as long as a month to recover, so you should consider carefully whether or not you can run the race. 
As part of your structured training plan you should be able to comfortably run a 4 miles continuous training run, one month before the 10 km race.

CHIP TIMING. Disposable shoe lace chips with Mats at Start & Finish.
Online entry cost is still one of the lowest of any race with chip timing, £11.50 for UKA club runners, £13.50 unattached for others, this price includes card fee and return postage of number, chip etc.Please note the charity donation on the online entry is optional. This is not handled by ourselves.
Please ensure your disposable timing chip is attached to your shoe laces. Please loop it around laces on one shoe, peel off the tab and stick each end together.
Please note there is a £3 charge for replacement of lost numbers & chips. This includes return postage and cost of chip and number.
Good quality Medal to all finishers.

There are likely to be some errors & chip malfunctions, so please email tempo events direct at patrick@tempoevents.co.uk if your name is missing from the results.
They will quickly check this and add your name and finishing time, there is also a camera backup.
